IGTN is one of the common complaints we encounter in general surgery OPD. Part 1- we have covered local anaesthesia, i.e., lignocaine and bupivacaine. The maximum dose calculation. This will be a complete guide for trainees, interns and young doctors. How to calculate the doses of lignocaine & bupivacaine and the different formulations available have been covered in detail. This video will be a reasonable guide for trainees. We have also talked about the anatomical basis of digit nerve block. The aetiology and surgical options available for IGTN have been discussed. Part 2- We will demonstrate the live surgery, total nail excision and lateral nail fold bed ablation, i.e. matricectomy. This is one of the techniques with a lesser recurrence rate. We have also demonstrated the digit nerve block and the use of the glove finger as a tourniquet. Part 3- We will demonstrate the partial nail excision and matricectomy.
