SUPER EASY BABY QUILT A bit modern and old fashioned at the same time. No sewing machine required!!! Grandma does step-by-step instructions to create this timeless crescent moon quilt in black and while that she made for her new grandson. SUPPLIES FOR 32" x 48" QUILT: All purpose thread (I used black) Embroidery thread (we used black and white) Sewing needle Pins Stiff paper for moon 6" and square pattern making 8 1/2" Quilt Batting 38" x 55" or larger Quilt back fabric 34" x 51" or larger White flannel (or color of choice) for white squares. 1/2 yard if 51" wide or larger 3/4 yard for 45" wide Black flannel (or color of choice) for white squares. 1/2 yard if 51" wide or larger 3/4 yard for 45" wide Black furry fabric (or color of choice) for Quilt back 38" x 55" This gives you 4" extra on each side TO BEGIN CUT OUT: 8 1/2" square paper pattern 6" or less appliqué paper pattern 12 Black squares 12 White squares 12 moons (we did white) 24 Black furry squares for back 24 quilt batting squares Let me know if you make this quilt and if you enjoyed it.. xoxo #handmadequiltdiy #blackandwhitequilt #easyquilt #makingaquiltwithoutamachine
