Our 54th UAE National Day Holidays – Part 2 (Al Jimi Oasis Light Exhibition(free entry), Jebel Hafit Desert Park Camping & Fireworks show) 🇦🇪✨ After our visit to Al Ain Zoo, we headed to Jebel Hafit Desert Park to unpack and set up our campsite. Then, we left for the Al Jimi Oasis Light Exhibition in the evening. The exhibition featured four beautiful installations, each unique and meaningful. ✨Breath of the Same Place by Maitha Hamdan showcased sensor-activated illuminated ropes hanging from an old tree, responding to visitors’ movements. ✨Cycle of Circles by Ammar Al Attar was a striking photographic series displayed in glowing lightboxes along a historic house courtyard. ✨Guiding Drapes by Abdulla Al Mulla was a light-based installation inspired by heritage motifs. ✨Floral Resonance by Christian Brinkmann blended light, nature, and visitor interaction through an immersive audiovisual experience. The illuminated tree🌳 installation was truly magical, with thousands of light fibres and gentle musical bell sounds that felt very calming and therapeutic. In Floral Resonance, our interaction with the plant and its flowers🪻 fitted with multiple sensors was beautifully reflected on the LED screen as a reaction to our body’s electric pulse. After the exhibition, we returned to our campsite🏕️ at Jebel Hafit Desert Park for a peaceful night of stargazing and rest. The next morning, we watched the sunrise, enjoyed freshly cut fruits for breakfast🥗, explored the surroundings in daylight, and went on a 2 km trek.🚶 After packing up, we drove to the top of Jebel Hafit Peak⛰️, the second-largest peak in the UAE, and the view was absolutely breathtaking.
