This is a series on building the DR-107 One Design (IMAC) r/c aircraft from the Matt Mrdeza plan. This plan was downloaded from outerzone.co.uk. This is the third in a series of videos on making a clear canopy and fitting a basic cockpit for the DR-107 One Design. In this part, cockpit side rails are added along with additional balsa to fill out the fuselage dip as discussed in Part B. The anti-glare shield over the instrument panel and turtledeck at the rear of the cockpit is prepped and painted. A paint scheme is chosen from a full scale aircraft and my method of creating the metallic blue of that scheme is shown as a teaser for the full painted model. 00:00 Introduction 00:10 Adding cockpit side rails 03:03 Filling and shaping the fuselage dip with balsa 07:01 Filling open gaps in each end of side rails 08:40 Prepping cockpit to paint anti-glare shield and turtledeck 11:13 Painting the anti-glare shield 12:39 Painting the metallic blue on the turtledeck 17:43 "Unboxing" the painted areas 20:00 Final results
