For more in-depth content from Bob Russell, visit http://www.bobrussell.org ABOUT BOB RUSSELL As a young man growing up in northern Pennsylvania, Bob Russell wanted to be a high school basketball coach in his hometown. During his senior year of high school, however, Bob realized a desire in his heart to enter the ministry. Soon thereafter, he enrolled in Cincinnati Bible Seminary and graduated in 1965. A year later, at 22 years of age, Bob became the pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. At that time, Southeast Christian was a small congregation of 120 members, yet over the years it became one of the largest churches in America, averaging 18,000 people in 2006 when Bob retired. After retiring from Southeast, Bob has continued to preach at churches and conferences throughout the U.S., provide leadership consulting for churches, and mentoring of pastors. An accomplished author, Bob has written over one-dozen books and continues to write a weekly blog post for bob russell.org.
