Investigation To check the veracity of the claim, the PTI Fact Check desk conducted a reverse image search of the viral photo using Google Lens. The team found the original image in a report published on December 17, 2024, on a news website. The report stated that Priyanka Gandhi arrived at Parliament on December 17 carrying a handbag with the inscription "Stand with Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh." Priyanka Gandhi also shared the image of herself with the handbag on her social media handles. Conclusion The viral image which was shared on social media post was edited. In the original photo, text on Priyanka Gandhi's handbag reads as "Stand with Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh." Users shared the edited image thinking it was real.
