Two Recommendations: Which Luxury Pool Villa Resort should you stay at in Phuket? Here are my recommendations regarding which Luxury Pool Villa Resort you should stay at when travelling to Phuket. In this episode I want to share with you my experiences and reflections regarding these two Phuket resorts. The two resorts that I reflect and score on are: The Shores at Katathani & The Amatara Welleisure Resort at Panwa Beach. Having said that, there are important key qualities that should be present. In this episode, I start with First Impression and this happens at Check. First impressions are very important, whether they be first impressions of people or places. Large hotel chains know this and that is why they put so much effort into making a statement in their foyer. In the reverse, if the foyer was dull, plain and downright uninteresting, clients could perceive that all rooms (and the service) matched this no matter how glamorous and exciting the rooms maybe. Now let's have a look at how I assessed each resort against the set criteria. One point was awarded to the resort for best meeting the requirements for each of the criteria. All in my opinion, of course. First Impression: Amatara (1) Costs: Amatara (1) & The Shores (1) Villa & Plunge Pool: Amatara (1) Location: The Shores (1) Health Spa: Amatara (1) Infinity Pool: Amatara (1) Service: The Shores (1) Cocktail Menu: The Shores (1) The Beach: The Shores (1) Local Village: Amatara (1) Swings: Amatara (1) Totals: Amatara = 7 Points The Shores = 5 Ponts So in my opinion the Amatara Welleisure Resort rated slightly higher than the Shores Resort.
