Yuri Gagarin is a space rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Named after the legendary Russian Soviet pilot and cosmonaut and keeping with the theme of his legacy, Yuri Gagarin incorporates elements of space rock heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, Nektar, and Eloy, but unlike those groups, Yuri Gagarin adds doses of heaviness and distortion to their musical style, as well as an emphasis on instrumentals incorporated in all their songs. The Outskirts of Reality is probably Yuri Gagarin’s most focused adventure so far, fine-tuning their skills and chemistry as a group. If you enjoyed their music before, this latest LP will definitely find its way into your collection or playlists.
