It's Academic showcases the best and brightest high school students from around the Washington Metro area competing head-to-head in a quiz show format hosted by Hillary Howard. Watch IT'S ACADEMIC every week:    • It's Academic   The Guinness Book of World Records has recognized IT'S ACADEMIC as the world's longest-running TV quiz show. Started back in 1961, the weekly program features teams from Washington DC metropolitan area schools -- public, private, parochial, charter, urban, suburban and rural. Host Hillary Howard leads the teams through a fast paced academic competition, testing their knowledge in a wide range of subjects including math, literature, science, history and more. The high school quiz show is filmed before a live studio audience and broadcast on WETA PBS and WETA Metro. IT'S ACADEMIC is produced by Altman Productions in association with David M.
