09.00hrs After a night of no sleep and a few crash damage repairs I head back out on to the track after having a short coffee break. 14 Hours has past since the event started so my focus is dwindling a little for the first 5 to 6 mins before a start to pick up the pace where I can and give some commentary. You will see I'm not the slowest guy out there. As always the camera flattens the terrain and also the stabilisation takes away how bumpy this course was. The whole place is littered with pokey up rocks and stones that just want to bring you off. Those that raced the event will tell you it was a testing and continually changing track with the large number of riders participating. I was always looking for smooth lines as the track changed throughout the day. The daytime course was 16 miles and at this point a 12 hour race had started a little earlier at 07.00hrs so there were some fresh fast guys on the track. As far as bike goes the GPX TSE 250R is a trail bike in essence so is not out to set any world records. But it totally did the job and is suited to this style of event and I had fun all the way as brutal as the conditions were at times. If I return next year I would ride the GPX again for sure.
