China's Warlord Era Series - The reunification of China 1928

This episode of China's Warlord Era is on the reunification of China in 1928 Chiang Kai-Shek was forced to step down and Wang Jingwei would lead the Nationalists and Northern expedition going forward. However not everyone agreed with Wang Jingwei and soon a new Nationalist government was formed in Nanjing led by the Guangxi Clique Warlords. The Northern expedition was coming undone, leading to the need for Chiang Kai-Shek to come back into power. After consolidating the Nationalists, Chiang Kai-Shek relaunched the Northern expedition, defeating the NPA warlords until they reached Jinan. Then Japan got involved and the Jinan Incident occurred almost bringing war between China and Japan. Chiang Kai-Shek thwarted war with Japan and continued to defeat the NPA leading Japan to demand Zhang Zuolin retreat back to Manchuria. Zhang Zuolin would refuse and the Huangutun Incident would take his life leading Zhang Xueliang to take control over Manchuria. Zhang Xueliang joined forces with Chiang Kai-Shek finally reunifying China, thus concluding the Northern Expedition and ending the reign of Warlords in China.
