West Bengal on Sunday witnessed a massive surge in its daily tally of new Covid-19 cases as the state recorded 24,287 fresh Coronavirus cases in 24 hours. Kolkata accounted for 8,712 of the new Covid-19 cases reported in the state, according to a health bulletin issued by the state government. The state's positivity rate rose from Saturday's 29.60 per cent to 33.49 today.
