This troubling ordeal continued for an hour. When questioned by the media about the teacher's motivation, the child explained that it was because he had made a few mistakes and struggled to recall a multiplication table. Regarding the child's parents, they expressed their reluctance to file a formal complaint, citing concerns that it might disrupt communal harmony in the area. The child's father acknowledged having seen a video of his son enduring an hour-long beating, resulting in redness on his face and waist. Despite their anger, they opted not to disclose their identities to safeguard their child's privacy. Tripta Tyagi, the teacher involved, defended her actions by stating that she had no intention of turning the incident into a communal matter. She alleged that the video had been misrepresented and explained that her physical limitations prevented her from personally reprimanding the child. Consequently, she directed other students to administer one or two slaps instead. Notably, Tyagi also holds the position of the school's principal.
