I knew that I would be creating one for COME ON BARBIE. This mashup has been a popular one from the album, and it's also a personal favorite of mine as well! Originally born during a livestream on Twitch, we discovered (by accident) that Stacy's Mom and Barbie Girl worked together surprisingly well! The 90s and 2000s vibes fit right into the world of SHOCK WAV, and adding in some Christina Aguilera and Quad City DJ's sent this SOARING into pure retro nostalgia chaos. (I have no justification for including Kesha in this mix, other than the fact that I love this particular track from her... plus it tied in lyrically!) I also included some scenes from the 2023 Barbie film to round it out, and of course filtered the final video through an old-school CRT TV to achieve those crispy, retro pixels that you just can't fake.
