The above video is the final 12 hours of an Open Cell BBA accredited spray foam removal project. The customer was refused equality release by their lender because of the spray foam. In this process we had to remove the foam by hand which took a total of 150 man hours over 5 days, the video is of the final day. This is the only safe way to remove Spray foam, other methods such as ice blasting are neither safe or cost affective. With equipment costs in the region of £50,000 and the fact CO2 replaces the breathable oxygen in a loft meaning a failed breathing respirator could kill the operator, this method should only be used for large open areas such are barns, or for removing paint and rust from boats and cars. If this however was Closed Cell or sprayed direct to the roof tiles the customer would of needed a new roof in order to be able to sell or remortgage/Lifetime Mortgage their home.
