Kolomyia,Ukraine-a walk through the city (Коломия)

Kolomyia (Kolomyya,Kolomea ) is a small (population 60.000) historical city in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (province). The town is in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains and therefore often serves as a starting point for hiking or cultural site-seeing tours in the Eastern Carpathians. The walk starts in a small park with the monument to Taras Shevchenko and towards the City Councel tower. Via the fountain it continues to the open air fruit and vegetable market and some street markets. After a walk through the city streets we come at the huge eastern egg at the Pysanka Museum. We finish the walk at the Transfiguration Cathedral.
