Hello welcome to my channel thank you for being here today On this piece I use silver metal leaf on canvas over a base of acrylic paint (red ochre). Before adding the silver leaf I applied soft modeling paste in the shape of wings to assist in creating a 3 dimensional effect as I planned to apply more soft modeling paste over the silver leaf. After sealing the silver leaf I began applying the soft modeling paste - and eventually, after building the wings up - I realized the GIANT mistake I made. In this video, you will experience the process highs and lows - failure and success. Tools: 30”x36” canvas Palette knives, various sizes and style Acrylic paint, the blue is custom mixed Paper towels & a large cup of water to clean palette knives as you work along Silver leaf (I used imitation) and related tools I.e., glue and brushes for removal (follow directions in packet) Soft body modeling paste.
