Drum Flakers are used to convert molten material into solid flakes. The drum surface is internally cooled by water media. Molten material is continuously fed into the bottom feed tray. Rotating cooling drum dips into the tray and the molten material adheres to the outer surface of the cooling drum. The material solidifies during drum rotation due to thermal separation and the solidified material is scraped off by the scraper blade from the other side of the drum surface to form flakes. The Drum Flaker’s design and MOC will be completely customised as per process and client requirement.
