The election was supposed to happen in May but was postponed as the peace process was in difficulties; it eventually went ahead on Wednesday 26 November. The Single Transferable Vote means a long count and this is from the morning of Friday 28 November. Noel Thompson presents, with Mark Carruthers assisting; political editor Mark Devenport and Prof Sydney Elliott analyse the results, and there are reporters at all the count centres.
