Woodturning: Woodcut Bowl Saver laser guide - unboxing.

I recently decided to buy the Woodcut Bowlsaver laser light guide after much dithering. Not cheap at just under £100. But I got the actual bowl saver rig a while back 2nd hand so I sort of could justify it. I found the process of using the wooden templates tedious. Particularly if I was pushing the limit of the tool and trying to core more bowls than you are really supposed to... Only used this a couple of times so far but it does make life a lot easier and takes all the guess work out of things. I do think it will encourage me to take it out and use it more often to core more bowl blanks. I expect a cheap DIY version could be made if you have the ability to drill an accurate hole in the original central bolt and have a laser pointer but life's too short sometimes.... #woodcut-tools #bowlsaver
