I've had this pervasive idea bouncing around in my head lately, especially when I'm looking at the work of young designers on Instagram, Behance, Pinterest, and even here on YouTube. There's a lot of good work being done, but also so much opportunity to even greater work. My guess is that there are thousands of young designers exiting the university or design school, yet struggling to find quality work in the design industry. So they turn to sharing their design skills on social media, but without any real, over-the-shoulder, design mentorship. It's my goal to do more videos where I give more instruction on what I believe takes designs from good to great.
