This is the 1st of many to come, Study Guide sessions for the AMPP - CIP Level 1 - Coating Inspector Certification Program. In this video, I go over the different standards for abrasive blast cleaning steel, prior to priming/painting. The cleanliness (prep) of the steel substrate is vital to the performance and duration of the paint system to be applied. Upon completing the AMPP CIP Level 1 course, you will be tested / graded on 3 items: Final Multiple Choice Exam (150 - 200 questions) It has been awhile since I took mine, plus with the merger, I am not 100% what has been adjusted or not. The Log Book - you are given on day 1 (you MUST track your day to day activities in this log book). Then Finally, the Hands-On Equipment-use portion of the exam. You show that you know how to properly utilize and verify calibration on several pieces of equipment.
