UNESCO has added the Ukrainian kobzar tradition to its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Originating in the 16th century during the Hetmanate era, kobzars were often blind minstrels who served as moral guides and storytellers. They traveled between villages, sharing news and performing on the kobza, a traditional string instrument. The announcement was made on December 5 during the 19th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Asunción, Paraguay. #united24news #warinukraine #russia #ukraine #war 👋 UNITED24 Media aims to showcase the latest news from the very heart of 🇺🇦 We strive to provide an authentic portrayal of Ukraine, encompassing its news, culture, and politics.
