I hope you enjoy my sporran build video today. I give my opinions on using the pattern from Dark Horse Workshop. I would suggest that if you want more details on building this sporran that you visit the YouTube channel for Magnus. I would recommend that if you are interested in creating a sporran that you purchase the pattern pack and follow along. Magnus does a great job of building the leather sporran and finishes the sporran with a little bit different details. You can find Magnus ‪@DarkHorseWorkshop‬ I ended up lining the front of the main body of the sporran after tooling. It seemed a little thin. This could be the result of the depth of my tooling. I built a second sporran that was modified a little to make as a CCW sporran. In that one I used 9 oz leather and liked the feel of it better. I do like the pattern pack and think that it was well thought out and gave clear instructions for a Leathercrafter of even beginner experience.
