The High Coast Trail (translated Höga kustenleden) is one of Sweden's 12 Signature Trails. The 130 kilometers long High Coast Trail runs through the entire World Heritage Site named Höga Kusten, starting in Hornöberget in the south and ending in Örnsköldsvik in the north. We are backpacking this trail in the opposite direction, so we started in Övik and ended it in Hornöberget. The trail is divided into 13 sections that are a unique mix of coast and forest with exciting areas rich in flora and fauna along the way. Crossing multiple national parks like Skuleskogen with one of the highlights the Slattdalskrevan. We also did a detour, where we climbed the Skuleberget.
