This 3 day hike up to 100 man & 1000 man cave in the Gangerang Range mountains in Kanangra Boyd National Park, we camped at Boyd River campsite then drove to Kanangra Walls where we bagan our walk, followed the Plateau Walking Track that took us above Kanangra Walls with spectacular views accross the valley. Kanangra Walls themselves are magnificent, orange & grey sandstone cliffs towering above Kanangra Creek gorge, with Kanangra Falls & Kalang Falls as a backdrop. At Mt High & Mighty there is a steep descent to Gabes Gap & a steep ascent to Mt Stormbreaker then follow the ridgeline past four knolls cheekily named Rip, Rack, Roar & Rumble to the highest peak in the Gangerang Range, Mt Cloudmaker 1164 mts then descend down to 100 man cave. Although named 100 man cave is far more restrictive in terms of space to camp & when we arrived there were already 2 other groups taking up choice spots so that it became slightly crowded. 1000 man cave is only a short walk along the Tiwilla Plateau to view this splendorous overhang it is huge in size & you feel rather small standing under this massive overhang. This walk by the Canberra Bushwalking Club was led by Meg McKone
