Wild Resinous Polypore 1 Week Later

For those of you who saw yesterday's reel; it was taken last week, and this one was taken yesterday. Here, you can see the time lapse in 1 week of mushroom growth and how we can really reap a much better harvest if we wait for the mushrooms to grow a bit. While this strategy will not apply to every mushroom; it does, in this case, of the resinous polypore. I have harvested a few nice sized flushes of resinous polypore this year and am thinking of trying a new recipe with these as I have already made stew and medicine from the previous harvest. I'm thinking about boiling them down in some hickory bark syrup and then drying them a little bit. Kind of a candied mushroom sorta thing. Not sure yet but will keep yall updated!
