The original 5960P launched in 2006 and was somewhat overshadowed by the 30th anniversary pieces from the Nautilus collection. However, this piece was differentiated by being the first in-house automatic chronograph caliber offered by Patek Philippe. The watch measures 40.5mm across the round of the case, 49mm from extremity to extremity, and 14mm in thickness. A sloped case flank and concave bezel visually pair the mass and allow a dress cuff to easily slide over the watch. A diamond set between the lugs at 6 o'clock adds a sense of luxury while remaining masculine. The watch is paired with a wonderfully bolstered black alligator strap. A full platinum deployment class finishes and counterbalances the watch with a Calatrava cross on the outside. Looking at the underside, the watch features a trigger springbar The shape of the watch is remarkably complex. The dial is simplified in comparison to the original 5960P. Debuting at Baselworld 2013, this particular reference was discontinued in 2014. The dial features day, date, and month indicators in addition to a power reserve. The loom on the hands, outboard, and indices give the watch a bit of a sports watch feel. A monocounter is located at the 6 o'clock position. An exhibition caseback covers a caliber CH28520.
