One of the BEST MTB Trails in Fresno! SJRT from Sky Harbour

What an awesome trail! Welcome to my ride on the San Joaquin River Trail (SJRT) on December 30, 2020 and also my journey as I slowly work my way back into mountain biking shape after a hiatus of many years from my origins to cycling through mountain biking back in 1990. 2020 was a year of many firsts (understatement), but along with those firsts, one of them was me deciding to start riding my mountain bike again after years of road cycling only. And, I'm really enjoying it although, still trying to get my skills and confidence back so I can start picking up more speed. BTW, you'll briefly hear my Timber Bell. I recently got it for situations just like this where there is a lot of hikers. Man, it did a fantastic job too. People hear you way in advance and move out of the way. They seem to be happy to for the notice. We've all been there where you ride up on someone and it scares the heck out of them. It also let's other riders know you're there when you're coming around a blind corner. The initial climb up Pincushion Hill is brutal and once to the top, you drop pretty far down and ride along the water line of the San Joaquin River.
