Episode 5 of our Project Zomboid Build 42 Multiplayer survival series. Last night things took an unexpected turn. Even while wearing a fully functioning respirator, corpse sickness still got me — something new with Build 42.15 — and the character didn’t survive. The silver lining is the new survivor now has Fast Reader, which should help with the long skill grind ahead. On the positive side, our raid on the military research facility paid off big. The faction now has a serious supply of firearms and ammunition, and new vehicles have appeared on the server including the 1992 Humvee and a massive cargo trailer. Now the real grind begins. We’ll be focusing on building up the core skills needed for long-term survival: tailoring, mechanics, and electrical. With those in place we can repair gear, maintain vehicles, and start hotwiring anything we find. Tonight’s focus is base management at Camp Arthur and heading out on targeted loot runs to gather the supplies our faction still needs. The camp is growing, the arsenal is stocked, and the next phase of survival begins.
