The Weirdest Celebrity PSA Ever Made: Yakety Yak Take it Back

In the early 90s, environmentalist causes took the spotlight. Unlike modern times where disicussions of climate change can lead to conflict, in the 90s everyone was on board with an environmentalist agenda. As those of us wh grew up during that time will attest, so much media we consumed hada focus on protecting the environment, and especially about the benefits of recycling. In 1991 Jolie Jones, daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones, assembled an all-star group of musicians to try and help promote recycling to kids. The project was titled, Yakety Yak “Take it Back” and is the only recorded instance of a collaboration between Bette Midler, Ozzy Osbourne, and MC Skatkat.
