يدرس مختبر عمران القاهرة للتصميم والدراسات (كلستر) شبكة الممرات بوسط القاهرة منذ ثلاث سنوات، إذ يراها المركز كفضاء "بيني" يسمح بتجارب مختلفة وتشاركية لتطوير وإحياء منطقة وسط البلد كما يشرح المعماري عمر نجاتي، أحد مؤسسي كلستر، كما يسعى المركز من خلال مشروع الممرات إلى جذب جمهور أكبر للمراكز الثقافية والفنية بالمنطقة وفقا لمنسقة المعارض بيث ستريكر وهي أيضا أحد مؤسسي كلستر. اختار المركز ممري كوداك وفيليبس الذين يربطان شارعي عدلي وعبد الخالق ثروت لاختبار فكرتهما لإعادة التصميم، وبدعم من المركز الدنماركي للثقافة والفنون والمعهد الدنماركي المصري للحوار تم تنظيم ورشة لاعادة تصميم الممرين في أبريل ٢٠١٤، وتم دعوة مجموعة من المعماريين والفنانين المصريين والدنماركيين لتقديم مقترحات للتطوير. شارك في الورشة: كينيث بالفلت وياسمين العياط وجاكوب فنجر وآن ماري جالمستراب وبيانكا هيرمانسن وأدهم سليم وآية طارق وأحمد زعزع ومنار مرسي، واختارت لجنة التحكيم مقترح "الواحة الخضراء" للتنفيذ في ممر كوداك ومقترح "واحة النور" لممر فيليبس، وعلى مدار الشهور التالية قام مركز كلستر بتطوير المقترحين لتلبية احتياجات مستخدمي الممرات وشركة الأسماعيلية والحي وتنفيذهما في الممرين. قمنا بزيارة الممرين ليلة الافتتاح وحاورنا نجاتي وستريكر حول رؤيتهما للمشروع والتحديات المختلفة، كما تحدثنا مع المعماريين أحمد زعزع ومنار مرسي والفنانة آية طارق عن آليات التصميم. هذا الفيديو من إنتاج Medrar.TV تابعونا للتعرف على الفنون المعاصرة بالمنطقة العربية www.facebook.com/medrartv www.twitter.com/MedrarTV The Cairo Laboratory for Urban Studies and Environmental Research (CLUSTER) has been exploring the network of Cairo’s downtown passages for almost three years as CLUSTER co-founder Omar Nagati explains that they see the passageways as an 'in-between' space that allows for unique possibilities for the development and revitalization of the city center. Their interest also stems from hopes to engage the public more with existing arts and culture spaces, as curator and CLUSTER co-founder Beth Stryker tells Medrar.TV For a pilot phase, supported by the Center for Culture and Development (CKU) and the Danish Egyptian Dialogue Institute (DEDI), CLUSTER invited a group of Egyptian and Danish artists and architects to submit re-design proposals for two passageways, connecting Adly and Abdel Khaleq Tharwat Streets: The Kodak and Philips passageways. The group which took part in a three-day design workshop in April 2014 were: Kenneth Balfelt, Yasmin Elayat, Jakob Fenger (Superflex), Anne Marie Galmstrup, Bianca M. Hermansen, Adham Selim, Aya Tarek, Ahmed Zaazaa and Manar Moursi. A jury selected the Green Oasis and Light Oasis proposals for implementation at the Kodak and Philips passages, respectively.
