The 2020-24 model Slingshots can experience a Stability Control light issue that prevents the cruise control from working, among other issues. This quick little video explains what happens, and how to fix it. Many people confuse Stability Control for Traction Control. They are two separate things. Traction control is controlled by the TC switch on your dash and the light on the speedometer will illuminate to tell you it's turned off. If left alone (Traction Control automatically is engaged every time you start your Slingshot), the light may flicker while driving - meaning that the rear tire is attempting to spin and Traction Control is trying to stop the spin. Stability Control is comprised of several different components on the Slingshot. Most notably the magnetic brake switch that interacts with the brake pedal. When this switch fails it will cause the Stability Control light to illuminate. This is caused by the bracket the switch is mounted to - which is steel. The newer bracket is aluminum and solves this issue. No need to mount an aftermarket switch to attempt to solve the issue - use the factory part Polaris has tested and confirmed that works.
