Taken from their TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO______ [mode of DUM SPIRO SPERO]. "Vanitas" is Latin for "emptiness". Also note that works of art showing the transience of life and certainty of death are called Vanitas. This performance was requested by hassan el hatib. Translation by me. Annotations: "This word I came in contact with somewhere" - Might also be "words". I chose "word" because there's a chance it refers to "death" in the line before this one. "When it babbles" - As in how a stream of water "babbles". "The antlion searches for the light" - Antlions are insects known for their predatory larvae (they dig pits to trap prey). Fully grown antlions fly at dusk or dawn and are easily mistaken for dragonflies. "My heart that lost its way always goes towards the future" - This can also be understood in a more general sense. "[All the] hearts that lost their ways go towards the future". "The red spider lilies are swaying" - Red spider lilies grow between late summer and early autumn in Japan.
