Crystal clear winters day drive from Pissouri Bay to Pissouri VILLAGE in CYPRUS 19 DECEMBER 2023 PISSOURI BAY Located 30km west of Limmassol (Half way between Limassol and Paphos), Pissouri Bay is the tourist resort of the village of Pissouri. The coast has seen its popularity soar thanks to its stunning, natural beauty and the resort facilities now found in the area. The beach has fine, golden sands, multicoloured small pebbles, and its clean waters are relatively calm. Its surroundings are further enhanced by the spectacular white cliffs of Cape Aspro (Cape ‘white’) on either side, making it one of the most picturesque coastlines on the island. PISSOURI VILLAGE Pissouri is a village located in Limassol’s district, Cyprus (thirty kilometres westwards of Limassol’s centre), between Limassol and Paphos. Pissouri’s administrative area is the third biggest in Limassol District. The main settlement of Pissouri is situated about three kilometres away from the bay named Cape Aspro, and is built on the side of a green hill. The settlement is placed in the middle of Pissouri’s territory. Now they are two distinct communities, Pissouri Village Area and Pissouri Bay Area. The total permanent population is said to reach around 1100 people, about half of whom are Cypriots, the rest foreigners, mainly British, residents and visitors.
