MOM & DAUGHTER FIRST TIME WATCHING PREDATOR (1987)! In this Mom & Daughter Reacts video, Tessa (Mama’s Geeky) and her daughter Lorie take on one of the most iconic sci-fi action movies of all time — Predator (1987)! This is leading up to the release of Predator: Badlands! It’s our first time watching, and this movie absolutely blew us away. From the intensity of the jungle mission to the terrifying reveal of the Predator itself, this was a wild ride from start to finish. Directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard), Predator stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator, Commando) as Major Dutch, leading an elite team of commandos on a rescue mission in the Central American jungle. But when they discover something far deadlier than human enemies, the hunt quickly turns into a fight for survival. The legendary cast also includes Carl Weathers (Rocky, The Mandalorian), Jesse Ventura (The Running Man), Bill Duke (Commando), and Kevin Peter Hall as the terrifying Predator. We were both on edge the entire time — that heat vision reveal, the spine-chilling jungle sound design, and of course, the final showdown between Dutch and the Predator are pure cinematic gold. The suspense, practical effects, and creature design still hold up perfectly after all these years. Mom couldn’t stop jumping every time the Predator appeared, while Lorie was cheering for Arnold’s clever traps and strategy in that incredible mud-camouflage battle. The line “If it bleeds, we can kill it” might be one of the best one-liners in movie history — and now we finally understand why this film became a cultural phenomenon. This was such a fun and thrilling watch, and we totally get why Predator spawned such a huge franchise. Brutal, tense, and endlessly quotable — it’s 80s action at its finest!
