Do different energies in a relationship always lead to conflict? Not necessarily. In this episode of The Happiness Games for Romantic Relationships, I explore complementary energies—how opposing energetic qualities between partners can create balance, attraction, and harmony when they are clean and respected. Using the color wheel, I illustrate complementary colors as opposing yet harmonious energies: 🟢 Green representing protective energy (often expressed through masculine energy) 🔴 Red representing nurturing energy (often expressed through feminine energy) I share three real-life examples of protective energy and three examples of nurturing energy, showing how each supports a relationship when expressed in its pure form. Through a watercolor painting, we then explore how these two energies interact—supporting, meeting, or amplifying one another. Finally, I discuss what happens when protective or nurturing energy becomes mixed with control, fear, or unmet needs. When the sender does not respect the receiver’s autonomy and free will, even well-intended energy becomes impure—leading to energetic collisions, power struggles, and conflict. This episode is for: • Couples navigating polarity and difference • People interested in energy, somatic awareness, and embodiment • Trauma-informed and body-based practitioners • Anyone exploring masculine/feminine dynamics beyond stereotypes Opposites don’t create conflict—impure energy does. 🎨 Energetic • Somatic • Relational • Trauma-Informed @TheHolisticPsychologist @SomaticExperiencingInternational @NICABM @DrGaborMate @AttachmentProject
