EQUINOX™ series - Creating a Silicone Putty Mold for Casting Chocolate How-To

EQUINOX™ putty silicones can be mixed by volume very easily by hand at a ratio of 1A :1B and can be applied to almost any surface. They are ideally suited for the manufacturing of rubber molds that are useable within a few minutes. Because EQUINOX™ can be applied as a thin layer, only small amounts of material get expended. Shrinkage is very low and cured material has high tensile strength and durability. EQUINOX™ is used for making molds of valuable antique and archaeological objects as well as for quick molding of sculptures, prototypes, candles, picture frames or coins. Wax, plaster and many resins are suitable to use as casting materials. Molds made of EQUINOX™ are also food-safe and can be used for pouring chocolate, or for baking cakes. Since it bonds to itself and to other addition curing silicones, it is also suitable to use as a repair material for addition curing silicone molds.
