Here we build a basic chassis jig upon which to build our 4/5ths scale aluminium bodyshell classic Mini with a separate steel chassis and powered by an EV drivetrain. This episode concentrates on: 1 Some project Guiding Principles to keep us on goal 2 Chassis Jig build 3 Working out the critical dimensions 4 Chopping up the subframes to start fabricating the chassis This project has some big challenges for what is going to be such a small car and we think this will make for some interesting content as we progress with the build At the outset I didn't plan on doing a YouTube channel so for the chassis build stage the content is mainly photos, voiceovers and a small amount of video footage but once we start the aluminium bodyshell fabrication (in the net few weeks) we will be video recording and sharing so keep coming back for more soon.
