Lauki ka halva is a sweet made with seasonal vegetable like bottle gourd. The ingredients are finely grated lauki. 3/4 cup of sugar 1/2 cup of almond & cashew powder. 5 to 6 spoons of ghee. chopped dryfruits. 3/4 glass of milk. 1/2 cup of water. 1/2 cup of suji. Roast grated lauki by adding one spoon of ghee till it releases water completely and becomes dry now add milk to it. cover n cook for five minutes. then add sugar to it. it again releases water and becomes liquid but just mix it thoroughly add suji n little warm water and add two spoons of ghee andix so that no lumps should be there. then add powder of almond n cashew it just increases taste. Actually either khova or milk powder should be mixed but both of them were not available so I added suji n cashew n almond powder. then add ghee and mix add dryfruits and little food colour dissolved in water add this to halva and finally thick consistency is formed tranfer it to plate and garnish with dryfruits and cut into small pieces after cooling.
