Symposia Description: This first symposium 1 sets the stage for a compelling international exploration of how nature supports health and wellbeing. The session brings together leading practitioners, researchers, and policy influencers to build a common understanding of how the nature-based sector promotes wellbeing through pathways such as Green Social Prescribing. The symposium introduces the Three Pillars model, unpacks the multiple pathways into nature-based activity, and positions green social prescribing within its appropriate system context framing it as a referral route rather than a stand‑alone intervention. The symposia will be chaired by Professor Michelle Howarth MICHELLE HOWARTH - Edge Hill University and will include 3 key experts in the field: Dr Rachel Bragg Dr Rachel Bragg, OBE | LinkedIn, Dr Jessica Thomson Dr Jessica Thompson | LinkedIn, and Dr Harriet Hunt Harriet Hunt Profile | University of Exeter who will provide a rich blend of conceptual grounding, practice insights, and evidence from national evaluation work.
