As full-time cruisers we are constantly looking towards the next hurricane season and where we need to be by the beginning of July through the end of November. This hurricane season we made the decision to head to Rio Dulce, Guatemala! We have heard wonderful things about the area, how they accommodate and host many activities for the cruising community, and how there are plenty of options for a marina that will fit your needs. Some other cruisers had told us they stayed at Monkey Bay Marina so I did my due diligence and went to their website to check it out! It seemed like a great fit for us, so we contacted them and reserved a slip! But we were NOT expecting the marina property to be so beautifully maintained with wonderful amenities!
