This was fully intended to be a simple how-to video to change the spark plugs until we came across an oil surprise in the spark plug holes. Oil managed to slip past the old and dried up rubber valve cover gasket that goes around the spark plug hole and fill up the cavity. Being able to remove most of the oil becomes important, but a little bit of oil getting in the engine doesn't hurt. After the new spark plugs are installed, you will see the result of the oil getting into the combustion chamber upon first start up. Hopefully you learn how to change your spark plugs and also learn what to do in case you run across oil in your spark plug holes. If oil is showing up like this in your vehicle, it more than likely is time to replace your valve cover gasket. We will definitely be replacing ours soon! Any questions?
