India To Bharat visited a very famous Shiva temple, #KathgarhMahadevmandir, Indora - Kathgarh Rd, Tehsil, Indora, Himachal Pradesh. It is located at this 4 Km distance from Mirthal while from Indora the temple distance is around 7 kms. This old age temple is known for Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in Linga form. Both Linga separates for 6 months and then reunited again on the Maha shivratri. Two huge fairs #kathgarhmela are organized on the month of Shravan (saawan) and on Mahashivratri. Here, lakhs of devotees from all over the country come to offer prayers at this temple. It is said that the warrior #Sikander Alexander the great, after conquering the North India, he and his army men returned from this point as his army fell ill owing to the powers of Lord Shiva. Maharaja Ranjit Singh also reconstructed this temple in a grand manner. Langar is offered at this temple every day and on the special occasions and fairs, there are many Langars offered along the way leading to the main temple. There is ample parking space, canteen as well as goo accommodation facilities for devotees who come from far regions. On the backside of temple, Sikander Park has been made where families can spend their time to relax with fountains installed. One can easily reach at this temple via their private vehicles.
