Uppercut Deluxe are truly amped to present the Matt Pomade Lifestyle Campaign Video. Now tried and tested in Barbershops throughout the world, our newest styling product Matt Pomade has absolutely blown-up since its release in October 2016. To really kick the launch ‘into gear’ we wanted to create a supporting lifestyle campaign to show the product in use and showcase its versatility. Enter Uppercut Deluxe Ambassador JJ Wessels with friends Mason Dyer and Jordan Slaybaugh. Three pals from Southern California with three different hairstyles who made the perfect candidates for the campaign. Truth be told, we could point a camera at these guys in pretty much any setting and come away with some cool looking footage. But JJ had something up his sleeve that would turn this into arguably our biggest and best shoot to date. 'The Erskine', a 1920's style race that he had built in 2015. It not only had a Matt finish itself but its open cabin really showcased the hold of the product against the elements. But why stop there? When Mason Dyer offered up his 1928 Model A Roadster, who were we to refuse. Our story follows each of the guys in their own environment prepping for a road trip, they converge on the road and set off on into the Southern Californian hills bound for who knows where?
