My Life's Work - Dr. Tim Conway

Dr. Tim Conway decided to pursue a PhD in neuropsychology when he was only 19 years old. He was fortunate to work with pioneers in dyslexia research where he was exposed to some early developmental models. The Morris Centers opened in 1986, and he joined the company in 1989. The clinic used a holistic, multidisciplinary approach using speech language pathology, occupational therapy, and neuropsychology to determine existing weakness and design interventions to build up skills in weak areas. Dr. Conway took over as owner of The Morris Centers in 2006, and opened a new clinic in Ocala, FL in 2008. Some students close their gaps in 2-4 months undergoing a high-intensity, multidisciplinary intervention that results in strengthened skills that continue to develop over time after the intervention is completed. In 2020, The Morris Center @ Alabama Game Changers, a nonprofit, opened in Birmingham, AL. This clinic has the multidisciplinary diagnostic and intervention team, and also has therapeutic classrooms grouped by grade level for students who have needs that do not require the intensity of a 1:1 intervention. Dr. Conway feels that his life’s work is a testimony of grace. He was given help with his own reading issues at age 4, and is passionate about helping others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Morris Center helps improve the skills of children and adults who have difficulty with school or job success, eg. poor reading, spelling comprehension, writing, speech, math, sensory processing attention, behavior, or social skills.
