June 18, 2023 8:20am After catching the eastbound, this westbound wasn't far out and would be the last catch for the time I was in this area until I came back later in this day. The trains in between that came while I wasn't near the tracks but was able to see this line from a distance were UP and BNSF trains and its funny the times I was at this line all I caught were KCS CPKC train. This crossing features more new low profile RECO Gate LEDs. This crossing right here reminds me of how the SACRT Florin Perkins Rd crossing use to look like in 2003 before it was rebuilt with of course different lights and bells than here and mechanisms would all be Safetran and the far median would be a short signal instead. Makes me miss the non cantilevered SACRT crossings. Canadian Pacific Kansas City - Kansas City Southern westbound grain train passes through the Eldridge Road railroad crossing on the UP Glidden Sub in Sugar Land, Texas. CPKC - KCS 4562, KCS 4064, KCS 4017 (DPU) Crossing Info Sugar Land, Tx This crossing owned and maintained by Union Pacific Railroad is an quiet zone with wayside horns. Bells ring through whole activation and wayside electronic horns blow till train reaches crossing. This crossing owned by UP is an mixed install with the close side signals both being SP Late 1980s signal installs with bell, lights, gates, gate lights, mechanisms, and counterweight arms changed but note the mechanisms and counterweight arms may possibly be originall as even though in SP late 80s install mostly used WABCO Modal 75 Mechs, they also occationally used WCH. These two were also relocated in 2015 for double tracking but wasn't the ones replaced but the left shoulder was. The far shoulder signal is an UP Mid 2010s signal install with gate changes and fun fact this isn't a knock down replacement but was an upgrade from the old signal that didn't have side lights and was replaced with the current 2010s install during the double tracking here. The far side median signal is an SP Early to Mid 1990s signal install that was likely a knock down replacement in that time frame with its lights, gate, and gate lights changed.
