Life is good is those mountains, but it can also be hard at times. However, having my hunting camp buddies to count on, the Atlanta Hot Springs for an refreshing bath, and “The Beaver” for a burger, some country tunes on their satellite radio, and to check my email, makes my hunt a lot more enjoyable and comfortable. The Beaver Lodge in Atlanta, ID is the only business in this historic and remote old mining town of 35 people. There are no gas stations, grocery stores, motels, or other services. It is the town’s gathering place, and also serves as the Church of the Mule Deer where we, its Faithful, worship on a regular basis. There are a million different places to get a cheeseburger and a beer in this great country of ours, but I guarantee you that none of them come with anything like this.
