Did Luther Rediscover Paul's Teaching by Reading Greek?

Did the Medieval Church Get Justification Wrong Because of Latin? The claim is often made that Luther rediscovered Paul's actual teaching about justification due the fact that while previous Church theologians had read Paul in Luther, Luther read the apostle in Greek and that this made all the difference. Because they had read Paul in Latin, it was thought that he held that justification involved transformative righteousness, and that this was wrong. Reformed theologian R. C. Sproul made this argument and I discuss it here.
