Student group 8 examined sustainable substitutes for EKC 265, a solvent widely used in semiconductor manufacturing for wafer cleaning and polymer residue removal. EKC 265, produced by DuPont, is effective but classified as a CMR substance, raising serious health, safety, and environmental concerns.
